Welcome Bass Lovers
Here you will find all the important information about our event. Please read the points carefully. If you have any questions, just contact us by email: hello@bassbotanica.ch
What’s the Plan?
Bass Botanica is a heartfelt project bridging the Röstigraben, created by people from Biel and Lucerne who share a deep love for bass, and its community. The happening is deliberately kept low-key. It’s a private outdoor event where a registration is needed.
For all short-term information, updates, and exchange, we have set up an info channel on Signal. You will get the invitation for the app group after registration.

Registration Process
To join the event you need to fill out the online form to register for the event. After registration, we will send you the payment details for the supporter contribution. Once we have received your contribution, we will send you your final confirmation.
Capacity is limited. Once the list is full, we will open a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we will inform you by email. For safety reasons and to protect the community, we ask you not to show up at the event without a confirmed registration.
Location
You will get all infos about the location after the registration process.
Contribution / Ticket Price
The event is a non-commercial community project. To keep the celebration affordable and safe for everyone, we rely on solidarity. The contribution covers the costs, infrastructure, people’s work and also the risk of police fines.
(your monthly net income ÷ 100) ÷ 2
e.g. 4000 CHF monthly income ÷ 100 = 40 CHF. 40 CHF ÷ 2 = 20 CHF contribution.
If money is tight, use 120 as the divisor ≈ 33 CHF.
Solidarity: If you are financially comfortable and can pay more, we would be very grateful. If you are currently short on money, simply pay less.
Drinks, Food, Travel, Sleep & Parking
Bar
We will run a staffed bar on a donation-based model (payment in cash or by Twint). A basic stock of drinks will be available.
Food
Please bring your own food. There is a cosy barbecue area on site that you can use.
Travel
The event site is reachable via 30–60 min walks. There’s public transportation around.
Overnight Stay
On-site camping spaces are strictly limited. If you wish to set up a small tent, please contact us in advance to reserve a spot.
Parking
Parking spaces are limited. Please contact us if you would like to reserve one.
Weather & Cancellation
Bass Botanica will take place in most weather conditions. We will provide weatherproof shelters as far as possible. Please check the weather forecast beforehand and pack suitable rain gear.
If the event unexpectedly has to be cancelled completely, we will refund the supporter contribution. However, due to fixed upfront costs and transaction fees, we would have to retain 5 CHF per contribution in this case so that we are not left covering the basic costs.
Packing List
So that you are well equipped for the night at Bass Botanica, bring the following:
- Twint / cash
- Warm clothing & rain protection
- Sanitary articles (the toilet situation is very limited)
- Your own cup for drinks
- Food & barbecue or camping tableware
- Flashlight / headlamp
- Hearing protection
- Hammock if needed
Awareness
The community around the Bass Botanica collective is diverse. We want to create a space where everyone can feel as safe and comfortable as possible. This only works together and with mutual care and awareness. Any form of discrimination is not tolerated!
Consent & Boundaries
Only a clear, voluntary, and conscious “yes” counts as consent, whether when dancing, flirting, or touching. Silence or uncertainty always means “no”. Respect other people’s boundaries unconditionally and without discussion.
No Discrimination
Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, queerphobia, ableism, body shaming, and any other form of discrimination or boundary violation are not tolerated at our event.
Diversity
Gender cannot be read from external characteristics. We respect people’s self-descriptions. If in doubt, respectfully ask the other person for their pronouns.
Mutual Care
Take care of yourself and your boundaries, also and especially when consuming substances. Look out for the people around you as well. If a situation feels strange to you or you feel uncomfortable or harassed, actively speak to the people involved or get help immediately from your friends or directly at the bar.
Care for Nature
We are guests in the forest. We do not throw rubbish or cigarette butts on the ground. Please consistently use the ashtrays and waste stations provided.
Learning & Accountability
We are all part of social structures and we all make mistakes. What matters is how we deal with them. We believe in a fair and responsible culture of accountability, without shifting the burden onto the people affected.
